Aylin & Bozkurt 5/5/23 | The Venetian - Garfield, NJ

✨CONGRATULATIONS to THE NEW Mr. & Mrs. Karabulut✨Aylin and Bozkurt’s Wedding Day 5/5/23 - The Venetian - Garfield, NJ - Ralph DePiro Photography 📸
.
To start off our wild wedding weekend, Wedding 1/3 we had the pleasure of shooting Aylin and Boz’s wedding day on 5/5/23 - Cinco De Mayo! Now, we all know Cinco De Mayo is a good time, and let me tell ya, it did not disappoint! Weddings on Cinco De Mayo, just double the fun. We had met Aylin and Boz at a friends wedding back in October and immediately hit it off.
.
They were guests that night and saw the RDP Team in action. When the day was coming to an end, they approached us with such excitement and discussions about their wedding plans. We set up a time to chat, talked about their wedding day, and the rest is history!
.
Let’s take a look at the NEWWW, Mr. & Mrs. Karabulut💍!

What did you enjoy most about working with the Ralph DePiro Photography Team!?

We enjoyed how passionate the entire team was. With each and every picture and pose, the team went above and beyond to capture all the perfect moments.

How did you meet?

Funny story...Aylin and Bozkurt had mutual friends and had been Instagram friends for a few years. Aylin never really liked cats and was quite shy about talking to guys but responded to Bozkurt's IG story of his cat with a heart eye emoji. This initiated conversations about all our common interests and the messaging never stopped.

How did you get engaged?

Bozkurt gathered all of our closest friends and family at The Brick House in Wyckoff one evening. He told Aylin he was taking her out to celebrate her recent graduation from nursing school and brought her to the restaurant where all our loved ones got to witness the proposal.

Why did you choose your venue?

The Venetian had been Aylin's dream venue since the first wedding she went to as a young teen hoping to marry prince charming coming down the royal staircase. The Venetian has such an elegant grand ballroom and ceremony room, we instantly fell in love while revisiting to book a venue.

Tell me about your favorite wedding details, and how you came up with them?

We loved having little pieces of us and our culture everywhere and all day long. We included personalized LED neon signs of our names for the photobooth to monograms on the ballroom wall. But the middle eastern drumming, live band, cultural dances really personalized our wedding and made it so unique for everyone to experience. We loved seeing all the different reactions and dances!

Were you nervous? How did you squash the nerves?

Bozkurt was nervous and squashed the nerves with his signature drink...Jameson & Ginger-ale. Aylin on the other hand was the calmest and most excited she could be...mostly because she spent 9 months nervous while wedding planning.

What was your favorite moment from your wedding day?

Walking down the aisle...this is when it hit us that we were actually getting married and that this was the moment we both had envisioned since we met. People cheered, cried, and shared lots of love and support while we made it official.

Did anything go wrong?

For one, the groomsmen dropped the groom during a photo op accidentally..but he was okay. Also, Aylin & Bozkurt had to eat dinner in the bridal suite because Aylin went for a dress change right before dinner and wanted to make a surprise entrance with the bridal party but the DJ/MC and all staff were also having their dinner time. However, this moment was so nice to get together. We were not upset about it at all.

How did you feel at the end of the day?

Overwhelmed with joy!!! yet bummed that the day was over. We couldn't stop saying that it was the best day of our lives because it really was.

What advice would you give couples planning their wedding, right now?

Breathe, take it one task at a time, join facebook wedding groups for support and details you didn't know you needed. Most importantly, have fun with the planning, don't look at it as a chore and remember the purpose of the planning!
