✨CONGRATULATIONS to THE NEW Mr. & Mrs. Marano✨Alexa and Michael’s Wedding Day 5/20/23 - Park Savoy - Florham Park, NJ - Ralph DePiro Photography 📸
.
Alexa and MJ, boy oh boy where do we start haha! When we met back July 2021, we talked about their wedding day, their love for sports and adventure, and of course New Jersey Devils vs New York Ranger smack talk haha. We did their engagement session in New York near the south street seaport and had a hell of a time! Followed by a nice cold beer to end the day. I mean…they made me take pictures of them in their NYR jerseys and I almost threw up… but thats hear nor there 🤣.
.
As the years went on, and the smack talk continued up to wedding day, we knew we were going to have a great time. We are so happy to be part of their wedding day. Let’s take a look at the NEWWW, Mr. & Mrs. Marano💍! #LGD

What did you enjoy most about working with the Ralph DePiro Photography Team!?
We absolutely loved working with Ralph and his team. From the minute we met Ralph in the initial meeting we realized how comfortable he made us feel which we felt was important and what we were looking for in a photographer. He and his team were very relatable, knew the trends and photos to take and most importantly they were very personable and felt like a friendship. Ralph was quick to respond to any questions we had throughout the process and made us feel like we were his top priority.
How did you meet?
MJ and I met in 2017 when we were set up by a mutual connection. I was working with Katherine at the time who just happened to be engaged to MJs cousin Andrew. Katherine set us up on a semi-blind date (semi meeting MJ who I exactly was and i had no idea who he was). I actually almost cancelled but had good convincing by my friends! From the moment we met, we knew there was a real connection and we never looked back!
How did you get engaged?
Long Beach Island is one of our favorite places to go together so when MJ decided to propose he knew exactly where to do it. On Friday May 28th in the short time the rain stopped during extremely rainy weekend MJ and I took a walk to the beach where MJ got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. The celebrations continued with family back at Mjs family’s beach house. Little did we know it would be a foreshadow of our wedding day with a very rainy morning and afternoon!
Why did you choose your venue?
It started with both of our parents attending weddings at park savoy and raving about the quality of the venue and the overall experience . So when we began to look at venues we knew we wanted to tour park savoy and it was top of our list. from the moment we walked into park savoy we immediately knew it was the venue for us. We were greeted with big smiles from Sam, the general manager and he made us feel at home from the first visit. The ballroom, Chapel and grounds are absolutely stunning and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for.
Tell me about your favorite wedding details, and how you came up with them?
Being in the event industry myself, i knew what makes weddings special and stand to friends and family are the little details so when it came to planning ours i knew i wanted to to include them. We were table to personalize our wedding to portray our relationship over the years. We added fun facts to our cocktail napkins, which ended up being conversation starters with our guests. We were able to include our dog in the wedding (who were low key obsessed with…) by having her favorite treats as giveaways to our friends and families pups and obviously included our favorite cocktails for all to enjoy!
Were you nervous? How did you squash the nerves?
Surprisingly neither of us were too nervous as we were surrounded by our friends and family. I think having our first look prior to the wedding helped ….or maybe it was the getting ready cocktails!
What was your favorite moment from your wedding day?
We both really enjoyed the moment right before we entered the ballroom after cocktail hour. It was just the two of us standing outside the door and hearing our DJ hype up our guests and hearing them very excited to see us. It was a surreal moment knowing they were all inside the ballroom waiting to continue to celebrate us and it still gives us the chills thinking about it. The moment those doors opened and the beat dropped will be a memory we will never forget.
Did anything go wrong?
Other than the weather not being in our favor, absolutely nothing we went and we really couldn’t thank our venue and vendors for enough being the reason for that.
How did you feel at the end of the day?
We left extremely overwhelmed with love and support from all our friends and family. We never wanted the night to end.
What advice would you give couples planning their wedding, right now?
Just relax. The weeks leading up to the wedding can be very stressful but don’t let it get to you. And don’t worry about things you cannot change. I unfortunately worked myself up watching and checking the weather all week but it was out of my control. Just breathe and know that all your vendors and venue always has a backup plan.
