Part 1 of our Valley Regency Wedding Weekend! As we started off with Sara and Javier’s wedding day. This was an awesome day as the weather was playing games with us for the last 2 weeks leading up to it. Showed rain, thunder storms, then sunny, then cloudy, we saw it all. 3/19/22, we got the most beautiful day!

The light we had all day, just PERFECT! I probably said it 100 times throughout the day 😂. Really excited about this wedding and couldn’t wait to show you guys Part 1. Let’s take a look at the NEW Mr. & Mrs. Tejelo 👰🏼♀️💍🤵🏻♂️!

How did you meet?
We actually grew up in the same town, but Javier attended a catholic school, while I went to a public school. Luckily, we had friends in common and would see each other here and there. However, it wasn't until years later when our paths constantly crossed at the gym, that we finally decided to go out for dinner and drinks!
How did you get engaged?
We both love the beach, so we went down to my shore house for a long weekend in December. It was cold and rainy, so we went and got our favorite coffee, and then Javier asked if I wanted to go for a walk on the beach since it's one of our favorite things to do. It wasn't until we were about to leave, that Javier got down on one knee! It was really special for us to be in our favorite place, despite the weather. We put our phones away, and spent the rest of the day just soaking in the excitement together!
Why did you choose your venue?
From the moment we walked into Valley Recency we knew it would be the one! I loved how beautiful the venue was on its own! Valley regency offered a huge cocktail room where everyone was able to have their own seat. They also have beautiful outback grounds. All of our pictures were taken on-site and came out gorgeous! I also fell in love with their ballroom. Vinny, Franco, Chris, and Fabio truly make you feel at home! They were there to answer all of my questions and made everything super easy!
Tell me about your favorite wedding details, and how you came up with them?
My favorite wedding detail is definitely the anchors that were incorporated throughout everything. My uncle even hand-made our anchor "guest book," that we will now hang in our house!
Were you nervous? How did you squash the nerves?
I wasn’t nervous at all, I was more excited to finally go and marry my best friend! Javier was nervous! He had a few drinks and just tried not to overthink. He knew once he saw Sara, all his nerves would drop.
What was your favorite moment from your wedding day?
When the church doors opened and I finally got to see Javier. Javier’s favorite moment was watching Sara walk down the aisle!
Did anything go wrong?
Nothing at all, the day was perfect!
How did you feel at the end of the day?
We both felt so loved by our friends and family. We were both excited to begin this next chapter in our lives.
What advice would you give couples planning their wedding, right now?
To enjoy every moment from the wedding planning, to the actual day! It goes by so quickly, so don't stress the small stuff! Also, don’t be afraid to ask for help along the way, to make sure everything turns out as you dreamed!
What did you like most about working with Ralph DePiro Photography? Is there anything you would have changed about the work/technique/etc.?
Ralph and his team were so amazing to work with. They are so easy to talk to and all the photos are very natural. They go above and beyond to capture every detail and make your day so special. We received our photos in less than a month, and they captured everything, and more! We had a great time working with Ralph and his team!
