How did you meet?

Nick & I have known each since high school, we had not seen each other until 4 years later when we met up through mutual friends!

How did you get engaged?

After dating for a little over 5 years, We decided to celebrate a late anniversary 2 weeks later and have a Saturday funday and went to Nohu rooftop in Weehawken for lunch & drinks, Nick ended up proposing right in front of the city skyline. We then celebrated with dinner at the Chart house, to later Nick having all our friends & family surprise us at our house when we got home!

Why did you choose your venue?

After visiting 2 other venues, it was the moment we walked out of The Estate at Florentine Gardens did we look at each other and know that this was going to be the place where we would celebrate our wedding! Everything about the estate seemed to be perfect for us and exactly what we were looking for a very classy, romantic venue!

Tell me about your favorite wedding details, and how you came up with them?

Our vision and inspiration for our wedding was romantic, with ivory and greenery with gold accents.  I loved most our candelabra centerpieces with the candles and the elegant accents throughout the venue.

Were you nervous? How did you squash the nerves?

As the bride, I was most definitely nervous throughout the whole morning getting ready. As I was walking down the aisle at the church when I first saw Nick did my nerves completely go away!

What was your favorite moment from your wedding day?

One of my top favorite moments from wedding day had to be walking into the reception! It had already been such a long day and it was finally time to really have fun and enjoy the night!

Did anything go wrong?

We had a few issues the day of regarding the welcome sign and seating chart, but it really was such a minor error and we were not letting something like that ruin our day!

How did you feel at the end of the day?

At the end of wedding day, I just couldn’t stop smiling and also realizing how truly fast the day had went!

What advice would you give couples planning their wedding, right now?

To all future couples, my best advice would be to really appreciate and enjoy every single moment, the wedding day feels like it takes forever to come then it’s here and goes by way too fast! It’s so important to appreciate & see all your hard work & stressful planning come together!

What did you like most about working with Ralph DePiro Photography? Is there anything you would have changed about the work/technique etc.?

We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer than Ralph! From all the small shots to our group wedding photos, to the reception photos we love all of them!  Ralph captured one of our most important days so perfectly!  Ralph completely fulfilled all our expectations from knowing exactly what he was doing starting from the timeline of the day, to how to pose our large bridal party for group shots, to capturing every detail and emotion in our photos! We received so many compliments from our bridal party to how organized Ralph was also with how easy and fun he made our day! We are 1000% happy with the choice we made having Ralph to capture such a perfect day for us!
