Gina and Chris, what can I say about these two. A LOT, actually. When we first met with Gina and Chris back in early 2021, we instantly clicked. Learning about the two of them, having mutual interests, their personalities, oh yeah and about photographing their wedding, that too! It’s like we’ve known them forever!

Leading up to their wedding day, formally meeting them in person for their engagement session, we had such an amazing time (just as I thought it would go). Their wedding day was no different! The weather tried to interfere but we didn’t let that stop us from tearing the roof off at @theparksavoy and having an amazing wedding day. Let’s take a look at THE NEWWWWWW Mr. & Mrs. Fersini!

How did you meet?

We met through mutual friends in 2014. It was Memorial Day Weekend, and we were both invited to go to LBI together for the weekend. We quickly hit it off and spent the weekend laughing, hanging out, and making endless memories. Who knew such a carefree weekend would turn into the start of our forever!

How did you get engaged?

After 6 long years, Chris surprised me by getting down on one knee and proposing at Roxiticus Golf Club, a place very special to Chris and his family. After the proposal, Chris had both of our families waiting at his mom's to celebrate all night long. It was the perfect day!

Why did you choose your venue?

The Park Savoy was the third venue we visited. We knew from the second we walked in, that it was the one. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking, as well as their brand new chapel; we needed to get married there. All of the reviews about The Park Savoy were nothing short of amazing. We were promised we'd receive the best service, food, and night of our lives and boy, were they right! We will happily recommend The Park Savoy to every couple moving forward. 

Tell me about your favorite wedding details, and how you came up with them?

Our favorite wedding details were all of the signage we had done by the amazing Jamie Dunn (@simplydunndesigns). All of these details helped bring my vision to life and exceeded all of my expectations. Jamie is so talented, trustworthy, and did an incredible job setting everything up the day of. She made everything so much easier for me and helped me remain calm in the weeks leading up to the big day. 

Were you nervous? How did you squash the nerves?

Surprisingly, I was not nervous up until the last 40 minutes before I walked down the aisle (shocking, I know). I just sat there with my dad, and enjoyed an espresso martini to help ease my nerves!

What was your favorite moment from your wedding day?

My favorite moment from my wedding was definitely our first look. There is nothing more special than seeing your soon-to-be husband for the first time on your wedding day in private. It was so nice to be able to have a moment where it was just us two and to also spend a few hours together before we walked down the aisle. 

Did anything go wrong?

Not one single thing! It was the most perfect day, regardless of the rain! 

How did you feel at the end of the day?

We were on cloud 9!! We felt so loved, so happy, and so tired! It was such a long day, but we continued to party with family and friends when we got back to the hotel. I actually did not sleep all night because I was just so elated!

What advice would you give couples planning their wedding, right now?

If I could give any advice to couples planning, it would be to try to enjoy the process, no matter how stressful it may be. Everything will fall into place and it will be the most perfect day of your lives, even if things don't go as planned. It goes by too fast. Also, the night of your wedding, try to find 5 minutes to just sit and soak in everything and everyone at your wedding - these people are all there for YOU and it's the most amazing feeling.

What did you like most about working with Ralph DePiro Photography? Is there anything you would have changed about the work/technique/etc.?

Where do I even begin? Prior to meeting Ralph, I knew I loved his work because of how timeless his photos are. Immediately after meeting him (via Zoom), Chris and I knew we were going to be moving forward with him. He was easy to talk to, thorough in all his explanations, and just a great guy. On the day of the wedding, he and his team exceeded our expectations. It rained all day on our wedding, but Ralph and his team stayed calm, which honestly kept me calm. He reassured me that we would still get all the shots needed, and he was right. He asked if we needed breaks, and also gave us breaks when he knew we were reaching a point of being hangry (by we I mean me lol). We can't thank Ralph and his team enough for capturing our wedding day so beautifully, and for creating memories that will last a lifetime. We loved Ralph so much, Chris even ended up hanging out with him just a few days after the wedding. We hope to stay in touch even though our wedding is over. 10/10 for RDP!
