“Botti on my, losin' all my innocence, yeah. Botti oh my!!” (You’re welcome, song has been stuck in my head since writing this…) RDP’s first wedding of 2023, and we started it off with a BANG! Steve and Cortney’s wedding day was amazing. The weather was perfect, and we had every type of opportunity from prep, to ceremony, to reception at the amazing @naninasinthepark . These two partied their butts off, and most importantly, had fun doing It. Starting off the near year the right way, doing what we do best.

How did you meet?

We met on Tinder and had our first date on Valentine’s Day! We have been inseparable ever since!

How did you get engaged?

In July of 2021, Steven and I set up a wine tasting with friends at Beneduce Vineyards. We were the first ones there so Steven went to check on our reservation and the workers offered to take us on a tour through the vineyards while we waited for everyone to arrive. The tour guide left to go get us some bottles of wine and that’s when Steven told me that our friends actually weren’t coming and then he got down on one knee! After he proposed, Steven brought me over to a tent area for a wine tasting to celebrate. When we walked through the door I was surprised by both of our immediate families. He set up a private party for us that was followed by another surprise party back at his house with all of our friends.

Why did you choose your venue?

When we first pulled up to Naninas In The Park and saw the grounds, we immediately knew it was the venue for us. Steven and I both have big Italian families and the building reminded us of a location in Italy. The grounds and ballroom are absolutely breath taking! I was obsessed with the cocktail hour space and all of the amazing food options. The staff was super friendly, professional, and welcoming to us throughout the entire process so we knew we were in good hands!

Tell me about your favorite wedding details, and how you came up with them?

Steven is an airline pilot, so we decided it would be fun to incorporate aviation into our big day. Our wedding planner  helped us find the perfect signage vendor. Jamie from Simply Dunn Designs was able to make our vision of having a paper plane seating chart come to life. We also named each table after an airport and she made the most stunning signs. I also incorporated my love for Disney and fairytales by having a Cinderella Horse and Carriage come for the beginning of cocktail hour.

Were you nervous? How did you squash the nerves?

I had some nerves right before I walked down the aisle, but once I saw Steven my nerves disappeared.  Overall  we surprisingly both weren’t really nervous. Some of the staff at Naninas  told us that we were probably one of the most calm couples they’ve seen.

What was your favorite moment from your wedding day?

Our favorite moment was when I walked down the aisle with my Dad and we saw each other for the first time. That’s when it settled in that the day was finally here and we were about to become husband and wife!

Did anything go wrong?

Our wedding planner Brooke from Sunbursts and Stardust Wedding Services made our special day perfect. Everything went as planned and we had no stress because of her guidance. We really did have the best vendors and they all delivered!

How did you feel at the end of the day?

At the end of the day, we were both over the moon happy. It all felt like an absolute dream! We didn’t want the night to end, but also couldn’t wait to get some sleep LOL.

What advice would you give couples planning their wedding, right now?

My biggest advice is to try and stay organized the best you can and ask for help when you need it. The day comes and goes so fast and you should enjoy every second!

What did you like most about working with Ralph DePiro Photography? Is there anything you would have changed about the work/technique/etc.?

Ralph and his team were so much fun to work with! They were relatable, friendly, and funny. We loved that they had such high energy throughout the day because it made taking photos with our big bridal a blast! We could tell that Ralph and his team are passionate about their work. They were very professional and creative! We are in LOVE with our photos and are so thankful that Ralph captured these moments. I cried of happiness when I went through my album and felt like I was reliving my special day. We can’t thank them enough!
