Kiersten & Steve | Engagement Session Sayen House and Gardens Hamilton, NJ

2020- the year of COVID, cancellations and spending a lot of time together. Luckily for Kiersten and Steve they survived this "new normal". The year kicked off with some travel, events and fun, but slowly the virus took hold causing them to cancel all future plans. They were able to move into their new home March 1st, right before things started to unfold. After numerous DIY house projects, zoom birthday celebrations and time together they craved a change of scenery. 🏡.

Kiersten is from Ocean City, NJ and Steve grew up going to his GG's shore house in Ocean City, NJ. Ironically enough they knew several of the same people ( Al Neil - groomsman & Brandon Hoffman - groomsman) and even worked at the Crab Trap (but not together)!

Their paths never seemed to cross until years later.... fall of 2017 to be exact. Kiersten's friend was dating Matt Lehman (groomsman) and Kiersten was eventually introduced to Steve. As we all know, the Philadelphia Eagles were on their way to the Super Bowl so there was lots of fun to be had! Tailgating, bar crawls, house parties and more. Kiersten was living in Fishtown and ironically was on her "90 day sabbatical" from her job at NSM so she had lots of free time. Maybe too much free time!

Fast forward to Labor Day weekend 2020. Kiersten booked a house in Ocean City, NJ. Seems odd since that is where she grew up, but they were looking for a balance of time together and time spent with friends and family in their own space. The week was perfectly planned with parent visits, family dinners, friend hang outs, and their friend Al’s birthday celebration. Little did Kiersten know Steve had something else planned. 🤔

On their second night together deemed “date night” Steve surprised Kiersten with her favorite champagne, two dozen red roses and a photo wheel of their best memories together. That was it – Steve proposed. Instead of dinner around the corner to follow, Steve had a limo waiting outside and off to a romantic dinner they went! The weekend carried on just as Kiersten planned, but the celebrations revolved around the engagement. 💍

April 24, 2021 is when they kick off the next chapter at the beautiful Renault Winery in Egg Harbor City, NJ! Leave it to Kiersten to keep things moving quick and Steve is happy to go with the flow We can’t wait guys👰🏻🤵🏻!
